Impact where it matters most

Every business must play its part in achieving a more sustainable future. Whilst we strive at all times to reduce our environmental footprint and remain dedicated to achieving net zero by 2050, we strongly believe that the single most material impact we can have is through our sector-leading work in the green transition. The shipping industry currently accounts for 2% of global CO2 emissions, and we play a pivotal role in the reduction of emissions across the maritime sector.

An informed approach

Over the year we have continued to develop our ESG governance. We launched an ESG Steering Group with appropriate members to drive collaboration and progress. Following the materiality assessment conducted in 2023, we have advanced our data maturity and, where possible, we have set internal targets and action plans for each material topic. We have clearly defined responsibilities for our ESG commitments which are overseen by the ESG Steering Group and monitored by the CFO & COO and the Board.

The Clarkson Foundation provides the funding for essential cytotoxic pharmacy unit for the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital

The Clarkson Foundation (“the Foundation”) is delighted to provide Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) with the support to fund a new cytotoxic pharmacy unit that is set to play a vital role in the Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (“GOSH”), which is currently under construction.

The Clarkson Foundation announces significant progress in its partnership with Centrepoint

Early in 2024, The Foundation decided to partner with the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, Centrepoint, on a major development within their Independent Living Programme and donated this £1.25 million as part of their matched funding appeal generously supported by The Julia Rausing Trust.

Raising awareness of men’s health at Clarksons Charity Giving Day

Clarksons annual Charity Giving Day took place last week with an important goal to raise awareness of men’s health. On behalf of The Clarkson Foundation, efforts were aligned to support the leading global men’s health charity, Movember, who focus on prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health support.
