Clarksons Dry Cargo division is delighted to announce an extension to its global coverage with the establishment of a new four-person team in Rio de Janeiro.

South America is a strategic focus for Clarksons as a group, with a well-established and active office in Rio de Janeiro currently covering the Offshore and Specialised Products markets.

We are delighted to now announce the addition of a new Dry Cargo team, all of whom are well known in the Brazilian market, to expand our range of services and bring an even greater focus from our leading global teams to the South American Dry Cargo markets, adding value to clients both regionally and globally. Manoel Soares will head the team and will be supported by Victor Pantaleão and Lucas Araujo whilst Laura Monnerat focuses on post-fixture operations.

“We’ve always been active across the South America market, and our relationship with Manoel and his team (previously of Leme Chartering) has grown over a number of years. It's fantastic to have their expertise and local knowledge now embedded within Clarksons, we look forward to servicing both new and existing clients even more effectively and further developing our position as the world's biggest dry cargo shipbroker.”

Expanding our global reach is key to Clarksons' strategy and ensures that we can proactively meet clients' needs wherever they arise.

Manoel Soares says, “We have a natural alignment with Clarksons in terms of our shared ambition for excellence, and adoption of technology to drive greater insight for our clients. We look forward to maximising the strength of the Clarksons group alongside our experience whilst continuing to build on our relationships with owners and charterers across the spot market, time charters and CoA’s.”
